Crystal Shivling

Description

Shivling or Shivlinga is the symbol of the birth less and deathless Lord Shiva, representing the Infinite in Hindu belief. It is an installation of black stone that is worshipped widely in temples and homes. This Crystal Shivling represents the potent energy manifest in the cosmos. It takes the form of an erect black phallus emerging from a yoni, symbolic of Goddess Shakti, the female creative energy.

The Shivling is a representation of the Hindu divinity Shiva and is used for worship in temples and homes. In traditional Indian culture, the Shivling is fairly seen as an image of the energy and capability of shiva himself. The shiv ling is often represented alongside the yoni, a symbol of goddess Shakti, the female creative energy. the union of shivling and yoni speaks of the “unbreakable two  in unity of male and female, the passive and active time from which all life originates”. Shivling represents the the cosmic egg which has neither a starting nor an end. It is believed that this evolving world  eventually merges or breaks down into the formless system. In this way the shivlingam is the most straightforward indication of development.

Shivlinga is the holy union of lingam and yoni and represents the invisible two in oneness of male and female, Prakrit and Purusha, the passive space and active time from which all life originates. The crystal shivling is seen as a symbol of the energy and potential of god, Shiva himself and is represented alongside the yoni, a symbol of Shakti, the female creative energy.
