Story

The animations and backgrounds are well done

This was a surprisingly good adult thriller; I didn’t expect so much attention to detail and story. While they may not stand out from the standards of modern art, they are polished with carefully designed details and innovative ideas. The characters are very well written and drawn; I really liked Carlos.

Overall, it’s a solid sci-fi film

The way the futuristic world works is also carefully constructed; there are so many small details that make the film feel very realistic. On the other hand, everything happens quite quickly and some important characters or events are only shown briefly. ‘Mars Express’ needed a little more screen time to better develop those elements.
