In the gutter, when oft-fired Walt (Shameik Moore) takes up bartending and shoe-shine duties at his local bowling alley, AlleyCatz, he feels he’s finally found a home. When financial troubles threaten AlleyCatz, Walt finds himself under pressure from former pro bowler and current drinking champ Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to accept his role as the greatest bowler to ever walk the face of the earth. While Walt’s penchant for big checks and simple-minded style of play dominate the pro tour, his critics, including ratings-obsessed news anchor Angelo Powers and recently retired bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon), furiously try to snuff out Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
